Broken Woman

Broken woman stand up walk out and leave,

he’ll never change its part of his game.

The fist with his tears part of his terror.

The sobs and the lies mean nothing to him.

His grip is so tight it suffocates…

His hold is there, even when he is not.

His presence is near but that is your fear.

Yes, you are scared by that day you prolong.

The memories will fade and so will he,

when you stand up, leave and walk away.

You’ll feel like you’re numb without anyone.

The tears, the lies and all of the pain.

But then you’ll recover and start again.

Broken woman, you are not broken,

you’ve more strength than you realise.

You are not broken. But he was broken.
